One of the great things about meditation is that it opens doors to amazing things you can use to help your life. Like ayurvedic detox.

Why would real men do this stuff? (I mean the meditation. I’ll fill you in on the facepack at the end.)

It depends what you are looking for. Maybe you want relief from stress, like I did, or for deeper spirituality, or to improve your health. And it may give you these things depending what practice you choose.

By now you well know that Transcendental Meditation in particular will deliver these things.

But what you may not know is:

Transcendental Meditation opens the door to other good things that hugely compound the benefits you receive from regular meditation.

One of these things is ayurveda–the world’s oldest holistic health system. (ayur = life, veda = knowledge)

So what do you mean meditation opens the door to ayurveda?

Let me try to explain that, and why TM is a particularly good idea:
So the link between meditation and ayurveda is that meditation is an important modality, along with the herbal medicines you’ve probably seen advertised.

But wait, there’s much more to it than meditation and medicines.

See, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi brought a system of meditation to the West in about 1958 calling it Transcendental Meditation. He gave it this name because it accurately describes what it is–a meditation that is transcendental i.e. it takes the mind to a place beyond thought.

After some millions of people had learnt TM, Maharishi turned his attention to revitalising the knowledge of ayurveda–the indigenous Indian system that had been activity discouraged during the colonial era. It had become muddled and reduced to cookbook herbal formulations.

Maharishi gathered India’s finest ayurvedic minds and ultimately formulated a system which put consciousness back into the healing paradigm. It presents a profoundly satisfying theoretical framework, a standardised set of healing procedures, and thousands upon thousands of herbal preparations manufactured in fully I.S.O. accredited facilities. The system is known as Maharishi Ayur Veda and is awe-inspiring in its comprehensiveness.

Transcendental Meditation is just one such procedure and it has been adequately validated by modern science. But there are tons of others! Other modalities include:

  • The advanced techniques of Transcendental Meditation and the TM-Sidhi programme, which you will have read about.
  • Procedures to raise collective consciousness (yogic flying in large groups), Big stuff this–there area about 50 studies demonstrating it works.
  • Neuromuscular and neurorespiratory integration techniques,
  • Rasayanas (tonics),
  • Maharishi Jyotish (prediction services),
  • Maharishi Yagya (remediation procedures),
  • Aromatherapies,
  • Maharishi Vastu (vedic architecture),
  • Diagnostic techniques,
  • Light therapies using gems,
  • Dietary recommendations, and
  • Primordial sound therapies (Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology).

It’s almost unbelievable, this range of technologies to uplift life.

And it’s all presented in over 100 countries by accredited teachers who undergo continuing professional development coordinated by a global peace organisation and network of love. So now you know why Transcendental Meditation is the most researched and objectively verified meditation technique in the world–it’s the tip of an iceberg.

Oh, and I forgot to mention Maharishi Panchakarma, the world’s best detoxification therapy. More about this clinic here. And the facepack heals and lightens scars, makes the skin supple and stimulates healthy new growth in the underlying skin cells.

So now just look at that list of add-ons again.

You’re thinking to learn to meditate. I’m thinking how fortunate am I, considering all the meditation options available out there, to have chosen Transcendental Meditation.
